How can I pay? Is it safe to use my credit card?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover through a completely Secure Server and your Credit Card information is never shared.
Ordering online from The Big DVD Store: is it safe? YES!  As a member of the Yahoo! Shopping network, we (and you) are protected by Yahoo's secure server:Yahoo! Shopping uses secure servers to protect your personal information, including your name, address, and credit card information. Yahoo uses the Stronghold secure server, currently the second-best selling secure server software and, in our opinion, the best product technically. It supports industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption. When you enter your credit card number into the order form, it is transmitted across the Internet in an encrypted (scrambled) form and not decoded until we receive it. For added security, Yahoo also encrypts the credit card number when it is sent it to the merchant. Unlike some merchants, we do not store your credit card information at all (after your card is charged, the information is deleted from our system.) You should feel as safe as you would using a credit card in a store or restaurant, if not more so.

What is Region code for DVDs?
Unless otherwise specified, our DVD's are Region 0 (also called "all-region") that play in all DVD players.

What is oversea (foreign) release, what is the difference with USA release?
An "overseas release" is any box set released outside of the United States (this includes U.S. studios releasing their product in the oversea market, as well as foreign studios releasing their product in a local market.) For the same title, some common differences between overseas release and USA release are:
1. The packaging is usually different, and may have small foreign writing on the cover or discs.
2. Extra subtitles may be added for other languages. (These can be turned off using your DVD player, see below.)
3. Extra audio may be added. (Again, this can be turned off using your DVD player, see below.)
4. Special features (extras) or bonus features may be different.
5. Due to differing amounts of content or extras, the numbers of DVDs may be different.
6. As you can see, our prices are much lower!

How do I order?
Select the DVD set you want and submit your Order online. You will receive the order confirmation via email.

Do you ship internationally?
We ship internationally to most countries around the world. Please note that free shipping is only limited to United States and Canada.

How long will it take to get what I order?
Normal delivery times are 10 to 14 business days depending on your location and how you want the order be shipped. Please note if you are in an international location, customs delays that may occur.

Will the DVD's work on my DVD player?
The DVD's are region free which means they will play on all DVD players.

How do I contact Customer Service?
Please email us at sales@TheBigDVDStore.com for the quickest response. Our major channel for customer support is via email so our system can keep track of what is needed for who (with so many orders, conversations on the phone may be lost in the shuffle! But email we can always search and any one at our office know what was or was not yet done.) It is critical that you contact us promptly if there are any issues or problems. We also want to feedback if you have any! Please only call (614) 885-8055 to place orders.

I had a problem paying with Credit Card, what should I do?
We take your security seriously and do everything we can to secure your credit card purchase. We safeguard and verify all your credit card information to prevent fraudulent activities. If you have a problem paying with your credit card, we suggest the following:
1. Check your name, address, state, zip code and make sure they are correct.
2. Check your credit card number, expiration date and security code.
3. Make sure your shipping address is the same as the billing address.
If you still have problems please contact us and we will help you out.

My DVDs play in another language, how can I view in English?
In rare cases this may happen, but the solution is very simple.
Please use your DVD player remote "Audio" button to choose desired audio language.
Please use your DVD player remote "Subtitle" button to choose desired subtitle or turn it off.

What is your Privacy Policy?
We respect your privacy. Your email address and mailing address will not be shared with any third parties.

Return/Exchange Policy
If you are unsatisfied for any reason, you may return any merchandise purchased at The Big DVD Store within 14 days of purchase provided that the return meets the guidelines described below. Please make sure you have your order number included in the return for quicker processing.

Return guidelines:

  • DVD must be returned within 14 days of the sale date.
  • There is no restocking fee for defective product returns. Simply return the DVD discs that are defective and we will replace them free of charge!
  • There is no restocking fee for DVD set returned to us un-opened. Please note again shipping fees are not refundable if you want a refund rather than exchange.
  • You will be responsible for all shipping and insurance charges for returns, unless otherwise indicated. If you choose not to insure your package, and we do not accept return of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage.
  • Opened DVDs may be exchanged for the same title only.

HOLIDAY SHIPPING NOTE:

Although we do everything we can to get orders to you as soon as possible, we DO NOT and CANNOT gaurantee arrival before a given holdiay. Our research shows DVD box sets take an average of 11.8 calendar days from date of order to date of arrival.

As mentioned, we offer free exchange for any defective DVD disks. Please first confirm that the DVD is in fact defective (check that you have used the menus on your DVD player to change languages, remove subtitles etc. A DVD is NOT considered defective if it works in our DVD players and the custmoer simply didn't know how to use thier own DVD player to remove subtuitles or change languages!) Please ship back the defective disc to us at the address below. Once we check the disk and confirm it is defective, we will send you a replacement for free. We will also pay the shipping for the replacement. We don't reimburse the shipping cost, please ship the defective disc(s) to us at your own cost.

Follow these directions to return defective discs:

  • Include all original packing materials, manuals, inserts, box, cover art, and accessories with the product to avoid any additional fees.
  • Include your Order Number. We also recommend that you reuse the original shipping carton and packing materials.
  • If the product was not damaged, defective or the wrong item was shipped, you are responsible for all shipping charges in addition to the restocking fees. If the DVD set was free shipping when you order, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from refund.
  • Please allow 10 business days for processing your refund. 10 business days should be counted from after the first day we receive your return. Any attempt of charge back without first return the merchandise back to us, or any charge back before the required 10 business days processing time will occur a $25 fee. This is a fee from the charge back process charged to us. Please give enough time for processing the refund.
  • Please do not return items COD. Any charges incurred by us for COD shipments will be subtracted from the amount of the returned item. You will be returned the difference. If the COD cost exceeds the value of the returned product, the credit card used for the original purchase will be charged for the remaining balance.
